Guests came from all over Chicagoland area and suburbs to bid and win art and sculptures from Fine Artists as well as Alyssa’s beautiful paintings created while at the hospital.
Our youngest bidder was Sia Salwan who won and placed Alyssa's Winnie the Pooh on her bedroom wall.
There were 2 high bidders on Alyssa's Geisha Collage. Both won a copy of the Geisha; Terri Sanders & the owners of Focas Hair Salon-Steven & Trish. In honor of Alyssa, Steven hung the Geisha on the entrance wall of their salon as a remembrance of Alyssa who was a regular client of Focas.
Our godchild, Katherine Alyssa and her sister Olivia were the youngest guests who enjoyed seeing their grandmother's art, Susan Zmuda, being auctioned!
Our guests enjoyed the beautiful music played by Charlotte & Alexis, our violin duet.
Because of our generous winners, we can honor the gift requests of other young adult cancer patients through Music & Art.
At this event,our Executive Secretary-Denise Cabrera and Advisory Board Member-Marianne Cirone, presented John Moon, our 7th gift recipient, his Beats music headphones. John had the opportunity to share his love of music with us.
The event ended with Latin dancing and a nice dinner with many of the volunteers! It was a fun and enjoyable afternoon!
